gd-degrader

gd-degrader is a Max For Live device that I originally created in the Max/MSP Pluggo environment around 2003 & updated for M4L in 2023. It uses the incoming audio to trigger random values for sample rate & bit depth independently on the left and right channels. It creates an evolving degraded, crunchy version of the input. No controls on this one.

Check out the rest of my Max for Live devices (mostly conversions of my older Pluggos & some other things). I have at least 25 with more to come as I get around to uploading them here. They have all been tested and work on Ableton Live 11 & 12 (and probably earlier versions as well).
